  • BRM, snowey come over to wests quite often.

  • OK Tuesday the 14th October, 6:30pm onwards, Trafalgar Tavern in London's famous Greenwich.

  • Tuesday sounds like a plan. See you there.

  • back on the bike, I may pop my head in for a jar or two depending on the strength of the leg, welcome to the drinking party south east beers

  • Anyone want to come to North by Northwest drinks?

Only trouble is it can be a bit dangerous:

Should be able to outrun the strafing planes if you are on 85+ gear inches...

  • Sounds good to me. Tuesday will be there with bells on (or probably without the bells).

  • +1 se drinks

maybe have a look at that pub past the trafalgar cant remember the name, its got a big anchor outside

the cutty sark pub, much nicer, loadsa places to park ya bike.

  • Either is good. I'm not keen on the Gyspy moth though.

Dammit showed me a good pub one day near ish the station down a back road. Small but nice selection of beer. Can't remember where for the life of me though.

  • Cutty sark means no detour for me on the way home so it works for me. How about we try the Trafalgar for the first one and see how it goes?

  • I love grenwich, and the ride there is nice when I'm following people who know where they're going, rather than using my own internal compass which is made of a baby bell and a twiglet.

  • this sounds like a good idea. isn't there a pub with a micro-brewery across from the picture-house cinema?

That would be the Greenwich Union- I was there tonight for some quite frankly wonderful food and great beer.

Cannot recommend the place highly enough- plus they are bike friendly to the point of letting you take your bike in through the pub- although I doubt they'd let us take them through if there were lots of us.

It's on Royal Hill, and it has the great advantage that you need to know where it is, unlike the Gypsy/Trafalgar/Cutty Sark Tav.

If you refer to the Meantime brewery then that's the place TheBrick and I went to.

  • Bang up for this in case anyone could not tell!

  • I'm in.

  • .

  • apart from jim, corny, asm i cant think of any other southies who go any where...ok joe sometimes. i can talk i havent been down south ;) for a long time!

    and wiggy ;)

    Dead to me!

  • Dead to me!

Yep. The little arsebandit is in my bad books too.

  • Landlord of the Gypsy Moth told me that he would not allow bikes in his beer garden as they were a health and safety menace, so I try to avoid it.

Also the service is jaw droppingly awful, truly by far and away the worst service I have ever been made to wait hours for.

    So I vote not there.

  • I love greenwich..but it's a shitty ride from here

  • That's why I don't go to South drinks.

  • Htfu

  • Htfu

    I already chew on diamonds.

of course, I could roll up after work, for the next week or two. but I'd be covered in paint and way too early

  • You can stop at mine on the way home for tea and porridge.

  • never stir your mate's porridge!
