  • are wankers!

  • If something is slipping, its not cause your chain is loose, it cause your sprocket / cog is loose, tighten it up, then tighten up the lockring before you try any more skids, otherwise you will ruin your hub.

^this is very important^ You risk ruining much more than your hub if your cog & ring are slipping. ie. ass, skull, mush etc.

  • vinylvillain, by Cavendish, do you mean Cavendish Cycles at 136-138 New Cavendish Street?

i work right by there and have never noticed them!

  • hmmm - whats the diff between fixed fixed and flip flop - i notice that the other side of the fuji hub has 2 different thread diameters - like this pic:

(not a halo hub, just looks the same)
is that fix fix or flip flop?

fixed/fixed means it's fixed both sides, flip-flop means you can put a sprocket on either side. If the other side has a stepped thread then you can put a fixed sprocket & lockring on it, otherwise, if it has no step in the thread, it will be a fixed/free flip-flop hub and you'll have to use a BMX-style freewheel

  • my first 'mod' was to add a nitrous turbo. 2nd was full fairing.

i'm thinking about about going for a knog front light next..... whatchathink?

  • thanks - i think in that case its a fixed fixed that comes as standard on the fuji i have - which means then i dont need to remove the 15t cog :)

  • Strange I have. Flip flop on mine. Had to remove my 15t to put a 17 on

  • me and chi11i r special

  • will double check tonight, but yes i think i am special

  • even a simple black set-up can make the fuji look really nice;

is that yours edscoble? what are those bars?? i dont like the stock fuji track drops on mine, those look nice

  • it's not mine, but the bar is easily the Nitto B123.

    get the B123AA, very light.

  • ta

  • This is my first post, I would just like to say i really reccomend the Fuji track.

It's also my first single speed, i have a flip flop on the back so i will eventualy ride fixed just want to get used to riding again. Here are some pics:

  • bollocks - flip flop - guess im not that special :(

  • brakes on a non machined rim? eek

  • want to remove the sprocket from my fuji track 08 rear wheel - what lockring tool would do the job?

I take it it isn't the standard shimano cassette tool?

    ta

  • See that little Search button up on the header bar - it's your friend and rewards usage.

  • Does Fuji tracks come with loose ball or sealed bearing hubs ?

  • Sealed bearings.

  • yes i should have done that - doh - apologies.

anyone know of a hozan stockist i london? or failing that a stockist of any other lockring tool??

    thank you.

  • That's a very nice Fuji Track Alexander. But I hope you realise it's against the law to put a Brooks on a Fuji?

    :(

    ;)

  • I've got a Brooks saddle on my Fuji Track, a green one, but covered in a Mac User plastic bag. The badness continues with silver flat bars, yellow Oury grips and a Paul Comp lever. Round bits are also a weird mix; Phil Wood on Mavic 33 rim at the front, stock rear wheel, but with a 22t cog on it. Add a few stickers into the mix, et voila...

It's turned into a bit of a Frankenstein's bike, to be honest.
