Maybe it's because you're horrible to everyone! (not you personally, but other members of this forum)

We're horrible to each other too if that's any consolation.

I know, it's terrible of me.
If only there was some way I could contact her to apologise in person, an e-mail address or something... :-(( -

Hi
I have just joined the site and I don't ride fixed........yet.
Brief background, riding for one year (except as a kid before you take the piss), do a relatively short 4 mile commute (rain or shine), ride a Cannondale Badboy on 700s with skinny tyres.
I have loved rediscovering two wheels but would like a more physically challenging daily ride. Fixed seems obvious choice. Thinking either new or nice old 70/80s bit of retro. Wouldn't mind fixing up something up a bit but no expert. Have got quite girly skinny pins so nothing too hardcore.
Any advice for a novice?
Thank you

Hey all,
Long time lurker, first time poster. Rode mtb bikes for a few years in my younger days, recently got back into it. Been considering getting a fixed for a while, think it will be a Fuji Track '08.
Oh yeah, am in Oxford.

Hello forum!
I ride a single speed and occasionally fixed (learning!) 80's road bike around london!
Its a hand built frame by a guy called John Spooner, curly lugs and nice to ride...
Like a much more beaten version of the second one on here http://www.classiclightweights.co.uk/builders/spooner-cb.htmlI'm currently restoring and updating it and hope to have a nice old school 'gentlemans' bike
at the end of it, probably keeping it SS and then maybe start a new build for a fixed track bike.
Its going to be resprayed soon and then i'll try and work out how to put a picture
in the projects thread......that is probably of no interest to anyone, but you've got to start somewhere!

Hello, I'm Miles, from Catford. I joined t'other day, aleksi suggested I join so I thought why not.
I recently bought a kind of beat down conversion, with the plans to slowly build it up and add parts to it over the next few weeks/months. Its not the prettiest of things but it gets me to uni just fine.
gasp its not fixed...yet.OSCC ahoy! -

Hello.

I joined because I'll be visting London for a month in about three weeks. I'm from Adelaide, South Australia. Hopefully I'll be able to borrow a bike whilst over there, but this is what I'm riding at the moment. Except it has tape on the flats, a Selle Italia Turbo saddle and no brake at the moment.

quiet here innit?
