me and a friend are embarking on a 'tweed to paris' ride in spring this year- dress sense is important, tweed and tie must be worn at all times.
should be fun! -

@ eyebrows... i totally agree...
plus fours, major taylor bars, bottle mounted on bar, tweed caps. rocking.
will let you know how it goes.

so we all made it, around 130 miles in all. excellent ride. very cold early morning start, beautiful country lanes, sunshine and lots of go-bars. last 30 miles into Paris were a nightmare to navigate but we all dragged our arses onto the eiffel tower. couple of days chilling/recovering in Paris and then home.
amazing weekend. we have loads of photos and videos to put up at some point. and we raised about 800 pound for unicef.

top marks,
fair play to all of you who got up and did this journey...
sad I couldn't do it. -

was more than a little bit mental, my top tip, don't use a full messenger bag for the first time on a 130 miler.... especially if it's your first century and fate has conspired against you to keep you off the bike so you can't do any proper training. A couple of longer miles a few weeks ago soon wears off
Though in proper lfgss style everyone helped me out and we got there in the end. Possibly the most traumatic but rewarding 24 hours of my life

fckin great well done everyone.
130 miles an understatement. my low point was lost in the paris suburbs coming on for 24 hours without sleep unable to read a map... but too many high points to mention.
cheers everyone... let's do something similar sooon
