If the bike was bought new, most places (should) offer the equivalent of a years free servicing or a number of free check ups.
Alot of the time most of the problems ever found in bikes are going to be within the first 6 weeks of general use as things start to bed in and loosen up.
So take it back to where you bought it from and let the mechanics there give it a once over and a test ride. Pretyty much everything on the bike can be replaced under warranty.
Seeing as most bikes are built to a price point, many of the sub components tend to be lower quality. Including hubs and bottom brackets. So just keep that in mind.
