what bastards for not spotting the revival in specific new old stock and getting it in for you personally.

if you've heard of the internet then why are you going into edwardes to get a shitty cottered or whatever knock off crankset?

i went into edwardes coz it was on my way home, and its a shop thats been around for a while (and might have something like that lying around). The chainring i was looking for has only been discontinued for a few years as far as i can gather, so totally plausible that i big shop that handles loads of repairs (however badly) might have some. Nothing whatsoever to do with any sort of revival. and the cranks aren't shit - infact they're pretty good.
i wasn't suggesting that the bloke/shop had it in for me personally, i was suggesting that a man who works in a bike shop telling a customer to throw away a decent crankset on the basis that he hasn't got a chainring that would fit it is completely ridiculous!
