• Davey C: sorry, the incomprehension was directed at the 'humanity/humility' comment, yes they do make a brake-friendly fork and that's what I ordered.

    However, a feck-up at the factory has meant a non-caliper-mount fork is on it's way to me. I love the aesthetics of the mount-less fork, but had always intended to run a brake for city riding... it's a custom colour too so getting a replacement one was going to mean an even longer delay with the order, I thought this might be an interim solution.

    Was wondering about the distance between the bridge of the fork and the tyre issue... it would seem the brake attaches to the fork leg, so would it matter how far you fit it down the fork?

    As you point out, it may not fit the round/oval criteria anyway, I'm wondering how flexible the rubber clamps that grip the fork are?
