fuck it mate, if you like it, keep it. my winter bike its a monster looker and when i ride in london i get the harshest looks but whatever, the muguards keep me dry, the disk brake stops me in the wet and the 81" gear rolls quicker than most (even if i have to stop once ive overtaken to check my A-Z). if you are happy on it, keep it and enjoy. just know you'll get stick. but IMO that isnt good enough reason to change a bike.
oh hang on, what size is it and can it do bar spins if the brakes come off??

It will be kept and I will probably be abused but I'm quite used to it. At least if I decided to start something else I can do so at my leisure. At least I already have something to ride. Mind you there is always my BMX and that certainly isn't unipack!
Not quite sure of the size, it's pretty tall, could give you exacts another time? Wouldn't dare bar spin it tho!

• #504
only kidding really, just cos you said bike for sale. and no, in fairness i probably wouldnt do barspins on it either. though maybe if i see you again i might ask for a quick ride on it. i'd be interested to see how it felt.

"Real nice, solid and study, well put together ride."
Solid? See, it doesnt matter how well put together it is, because there isnt one single component worth more than a quid. You can put together your argos occasional table perfectly and it'll still be shit because its made of the lowest quality materials imaginable. Its not about snobbery. Its picking one up, examining it and discovering exactly what a fuck awful piece of machinery this is and for £200, hell, for £20, you can do so much better.
This is like stomping on ducklings. Its just way too easy. Think about poor fred, who has to ride this fucker. Or Dennis@FGG, who has to host this stuff. Jesus, I need a drink. I'm starting to despair for humanity.

i hadn't looked at that fixed gear gallery for over a year..
and I wished I'd not just clicked that link..

do these people not notice that there are loads of identical ebay auctions with the same its using words such as trendy etc.... I knew nothing about fixie or SS bikes but I used my common sence to not even look at those auctions.

But... but... the couriers in NY ride them... they must be good. hehe
I've yet to see a unipack being ridden. I've seen then parked up, and a couple being pushed/worked on.
Coincidence??

I saw one of these monstrosities at Holborn tube today, what's worse is that the owner had wasted time customizing it a little too!

Riding up Commercial Street towards Spitalfields, E1 Cycles has 3 in the window in various hipster colours, £199 up to £249. They're making a big deal about them with lots of star shaped price tags.
@whatfriends
Mate, I totally understand and completely agree, just feel a bit of an idiot as I should have researched things better before diving in. I guess I was far too eager and it seemed like an easy option, lesson learnt.
At least now I have a better idea of what to look for in future bikes plus its given me a taste (although somewhat bitter) of the joys of single speed/fixed existence.
Anybody want to buy a bike?
