Wish it could've been that easy! The bottom half of the bolt was jammed into the top part of the clamp. We had pliers but couldn't remove it.
In a moment of genius, Kib removed a bolt from a newly built fence which perfectly fitted and enabled us to bolt the bottom half of the clamp to the seatpost.
That way we could tape the seat to it and it had decent support.
It was A-Team stuff!
With about 16 miles left and lots of hills to come, it was nice seeing Slaytanic with no shoelaces and riding brakeless! Jeez...Cheers Dave! ;-)
