@ Archi....are you seriously planning to use that bike to transport your child?
Speaking as a parent that has carried both his children on his bikes, please think twice about that one. If that is as low as the stem goes then there surely can't be much quill in the steerer? The frame and forks and wheels are far from ideal for carrying both you and a child.
I think it's great that you're wanting to involve your son in your passion for cycling...but seriously, your son is not gonna have a very pleasant ride above those wheels...buy a cheap mountain bike or something for child carrying duties.
