Jacqui and I popped in earlier and he had just popped out for a fag and was still not back 45 minutes later - either found a pub or a nurse was our conclusion.

Also you went to bed over an hour ago - so why are you still in bed playing with your laptop?

I went over yesterday and hung around for a while.
He had indeed found a pub and had a couple of pints. Popped in later and he seemed well (if a little drowsy after his liquid lunch).
Don't know what time he's getting out on Wednesday, but we could do a "paul gets out of hospital" drinks (just one or two) at The Good Samaritan.
