yeah, apart from the horrible geometry, shit wheels, ridiculous handlebars, piss-poor drivetrain, joke pedals and cretinous excuse for a saddle it's not a bad bike

Clearly my memo to bike companies teaching them that backward sloping top tubes (a la langster) are wrong got lost in the post.
Langster = bad
Fankgster = really, really bad, even if it does happen to be better looking than the langster, like the giant one.
The style is still incredibly awkward and looks like an ugly inbred child of bmx and a mountain bike that was only born with one gear and now it's parents dress it up in powder coating and hope the other kids won't pick on it.

They're aiming at commuters and wannabes who are used to relaxed head angles and sloping top tubes that they've got on their MTBs and compact road bikes who will want a little kookiness - like a chopped Brooks and dropped bullhorns - but won't want it to be so outlandish that they'll be laughed at by their friends.

Wheres the TK1, Evans stock felt and thats where my cycle to work voucher has to go, grand towards a nice carbon track bike Mmmmmm

only just finished my third build, the feeling of riding something you have made and personally selected every part of know inside out just makes the ride so much nicer. Especially when it comes together and rides tight and silent the first time you get on it.

OTP can never replicate that feeling however much you customise.

Please write to Brian Rourke imploring him to never build another 853 frame with backward sloping top tube. They"re a waste of space, trust me ;)
