What about a Pearson Hanzo?
http://www.pearsoncycles.co.uk/product/3231/PEARSON_HANZO_STEEL_SINGLE_SPEED_2008Steel frame, flip-flop hub, £450. Anyone know anything about these?
That Touche of theirs (already mentioned) looks nice - just not sure about an aluminium frame.

i recently rode a Giant Bowery that I bought second-hand for a mate, and i didn't like it anywhere near as much as my fuji track. it felt kind of 'tinny'. so if anyone is tossing up between those two bikes, i would absolutely recommend the fuji.

I just bought myself a Giant Bowery (£225 for the WIN!) from pearson's.
A fully customizable OTP bike for that price is pretty fucking sexual.
I really love it, and you should too.

"tinny" isn't nowhere enough to describe how the Bowery ride, can you describe it a bit better please?

Funny since it's not made of tin or anything like tin. Unless it was a tmy typo and he meant 'small' ;)

Question:
Can I just change the tyres on the Plug to make them thinner? Wouldn't I have to change the whole wheel? -
• #83
just finish testing the rest of the bike in your list and decided which one you like the best (if it the Charge Plug - remember to change tyres to a slicker thinner one, as the current one is rather slow).

yes you can, no need to change wheels, just make sure that it's the right size tyres (like the difference between an MTB and a road bike wheel size).

Genesis Flyer or on one il Pompino?
-
• #87
daddy or chips?
both are quite different beast, one one more of a cross style bike while the flyer doesn't really float my boat but a lot of people swear by them.
Personally I think everyone should own, love then disown a fuji by way of apprenticeship

Just to throw in my tuppence,
I've had a fuji track for 3-4 years now and it's been ace. Never a single problem with it. I think it looks a bit more 'track' than some of the more recent OTP bikes on the market, and rides lovely.
pic of it here, with new wheels and a spray job:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/19913541@N00/2578349476/I'm sure the genesis flyer/langster etc are all great, but they just all look a bit too mountain bike for me.

I'm pretty sure that the differences are only aesthetic. I've got the plug myself.

Anyone have an opinion on what the Brick Lane Bikes custom build are like - using their own BLB frame?

evans appear to have bumped up the price of this for no apparent reason other than to be twats.
