I confess- I can track stand (right foot forwards, bars turned right) for quite a while on a bike with a freewheel.

On fixed I have yet to crack the knack.

1) I can't cycle in narrow spaces or turn tight corners. I always think I'm going to topple over, and of course I always do.
2) The only reason I don't wear a helmet is because I'm afraid it'll ruin my hair.

Obviously, being able to Ambistanderous track-stand on an iron with really really ridiculously good-looking rims!

...that I got incredibly jealous when the dude next me at the traffic lights was trackstanding...on his mountain bike. I'm gonna have to come along to TrixieDix one night soon methinks. Just for the tricks that have some practical purpose though. :)

The combination of grade two buzzcut and a Spesh 2D helmet result in a very fetching set of paralell grooves after a longish ride- looks like my hair has been plowed.

Dammit and Donut, can you trackstand without using brakes on your freewheel shod iron stallions, or are you mortal like the rest of us?

Without brakes, but I confess you need a little help from gravity, but even a mellow curve in the road is enough, just so that when you release the pressure on your pedals you roll back.

So as far as I know I'm just as mortal as the rest! :)

1)My frame is a Peugeot sprayed blue with Charge stickers.
2)My sprocket keeps coming undone beacuse I can't afford a lock ring tool and use a screwdriver and a hammer.
3)I started riding fixed cos I thought it was cool, now I've forgotten how to freewheel.
4)I have very few ambitions.
5)I'm still afraid of the dark.
6)I'm still in love with my best friend and she knows but doesn't feel the same :(

I learned to trackstand on a road bike.
I found it really fucking awkward when I first started to trackstand fixed.

I confess.. I really do think people who wear pink shirts are either closet homosexuals or date rapists.

I was scared of fixed wheel. Only started riding fixed by accident - when the bike that came to me over ebay did not have a drilled bridge, and I wasn't going to ride it as a one-brake SS.
