Had the joy of driving at 60 around the edge of Northampton Saturday evening through heavy rain at 20 metre visibility aquaplaning my van over rivers running across the dual carriage way. My sympathy went out to the poncho clad guy riding on the shoulder. I don't care what is reason/excuse for being there was, it must have been a thoroughly miserable personal hell.
I did contemplate going to pick him up but I would have been a reckless exercise to get there across several lanes of fast blind traffic.
