They've got it in a bar in canary wharf, but I guess that's too far east foe 95% of this forum. Is it only The Brick and myself from the east?

Newcy brown (or broon, as it is locally pronounced), is notoriously difficult to find on tap in england. At the moment the trent is the ONLY pub i have found that does it. You can get it on tap in almost every bar in america apparently.
Thing is, the Trent gets it directly from the brewery, so legend has it it's the freshest broon you can get anywhere in the world. all i know is that it tastes pretty excellent. almost chocolatey! especially after the 2nd pint. haha

There was a pub in Abgindon Oxon called something like the tap that was on the front of the old morlands brewery, that had beer pumped straight from out back.

Well they have some special arrangement with the brewery, hence having it on tap. they say if you drink more than 5 pints of it in series you go insane. and i AM a geordie, so fcuck all you southerners! :D

5 pints!
I thought you Northern chavs could drink!
fucking hell, there's six year olds in Peckham that could do five pints and run a mile on it, Special Brew too.

you're the one who was sick after drinking newcy broon. and the difference is, all you bloody southerners are insane already, hence the 6 yr olds drinking special brew.

Sam Smith's are alright as far as I can see.. I've been to the Lyceum a few times seeing as it's directly opposite my university but for me, nothing beats a pint of Adnams..

I'm confused. In Ireland all larger, stout and cider that is "on tap" is "direct from the brewery" (managed by Diagio), and pumped from "out back" usually from a cold room.
I don't drink a lot and never pints so what the hell kind of ship are you guys running over here?
Peace

Sam Smith's do a lovely oatmeal stout in bottles, pricey for them at £3.60 or so, but lovely. Their bitters aren't too bad but their whiskey is nasty
