personal responsibility is where its at.. unless you are a child then the parent/carer has to take that responsibility. the information is out there, whats the problem with finding it and deciding for yourself that you want to eat and live well? how can you blame chiken shops, mac D's, pizza hut or even the supermarkets?? sure they sell food that isnt great but people dont have to buy it. it outrageous that people still make the decision to have an unhealthy diet. true health = fitness. you can be fat and fit, skinny and fit, unhealthy and fit etc etc. but ultimately, if your goal is good, true health, then fitness and athletic ability comes with it, reguardless of the size of your bones...
if you are fat and happy with it, fuck, dont moan. same goes for skinny or "normal" or whatever. if you are fine with it, dont moan. if you arent fine, then start on a journey to change your life. i know it can be fucking hard, but its a choice to be made not debated endlessly.
obese isnt a dress or trouser size, its an affliction. mostly the result of malnutrition, therefore it is unquestionably unhealthy. it doesnt mean that these folks cant run or be active but it means that their body and systems are put under pressure and in WILL suffer health problems.

why are people getting agro with this? it says ignorant OR... it could say lazy in there to be more comprehensive but im with roxy on this one.
dogs was half right, its not merely fat people putting a strain on our health care/ insurance. its unhealthy people in general. and health is something people can do something about, soo when they dont, yea its offensive. what a gift life is, and to throw it away to suffering because of lack of care is offensive.
i am always amazed when people say "i am fat and im proud." what are you proud of? proud of being fat? or do they actually mean comfortable with their size? am i just debating semantics here? i kind of wonder what is there about being fat to be proud of? to my mind it falls into the same bracket as proud of being a smoker, or an alcoholic etc etc. its the road to ruin and long term health problems. proud of degenerating health, compromised vitality and longevity? live and let live and all that but proud? i dont get it. not a dig at anyone in particular, just something i have always wondered. like i said, live and let live. people can choose their paths, and not everyone is gonna agree.
i typed and retyped and deleted so much of my rant to try to make it not offensive to anyone in particular as im not tryingto dig at folks, so if any offence taken, sorry. we all have our own opinions, and mine is that poor health through personal choice,in whatever form it comes, is a fucking waste and a outright shame. but do what you want and chase happiness of your own making, not anyone elses. if people thought a little more about themselves in an abstract way instead of a comparative way, perhaps the world would be a little happier without the competition and spite etc of trying to be "normal" in the eyes of society... fuck "society". its made up of a bunch o cunts. ha. (that last bit is an attempt to lighten the mood).
have a wicked bank holi folks. im off to brighton, whoop whoop.
