  • The apologies and guilt are the first things that came to mind when I have collided with a pedestrian in the past.
    "I'm soo sorry, are you okay?"
    But when the pedestrian then tries to blame you / make out it's all your fault and you were riding dangerously to them) it is hard not to defend yourself.
    "You should have been riding next to the pavement!"
    "No waY! Just don't bloody cross Oxford Street between stationary traffic without looking!"
    "You were going too fast!"
    "Whatever.."
    Later on I realised it was my fault.
    Pedestrians are our closest relations on the roads, I would like to improve the relationship.
    Buffalo Bill seems to have the right idea.

    Then there was the guy who clotheslined me for not stopping at a zebra crossing. :-(
