I totally agree with Buffalo Bill, show pedestrians that you are the good guys on the road and you understand that it is as difficult for them as it is for you to deal with the traffic.
That wasn't quite my point - I don't buy into the whole 'shouldn't RLJ because it gives us all a bad rep' thing. My points were more:
They aren't really that dangerous
They can be avoided in any case, with a little bit of foresight.
And even if it is totally their fault, it's no consolation when someone is lying on the ground bleeding as the result of a collision that you had with them.
