My friend (from France) who visited this weekend remarked on the food packaging she saw in M&S "a pack of perfect apples for a perfect world". I don't think they sell anything that is not wrapped.
Supermarkets think we want to go for looks rather than taste and then they decide to invent quality and call it "taste the difference" and package it in a fancy plastic box with cardboard around to look natural.
Our tasteless food is polluted with plastic, fat and sugar.
I live within 10 mn walk of 2 (soon 3) Sainsburys, 1 Waitrose, 1 Lidl, 2 Tesco Express, 1 M&S.
Food in this country is shocking.
