fair point. well, some tips to increase the gap between toe and wheel:
1) get shorter length cranks (165mm as opposed to 170)
2) go clipless (this worked for me)
3) buy forks with more rake
4) fit a 650c front wheel
5) angle feet down to reduce their profile against the wheel (this also works well)
