  • Unless the journery is 10 miles plus, it took me only 37 minutes to get from Wimbledon to King's Cross on the Northern whether cycling over to King's Cross took me 66 minutes.

    Bus or car would've take fuckage, tube is the fastest public transport so far, unless your destination is only a couple stop away.

    Point taken - but I'm not sure if it applies to every journey. My current commute is from Tulse Hill to Southall (17ish miles) and takes exactly an hour. I'm not on the tube (actually, your point was just for the tube, wasn't it?), so I think I'd probably have to sit through a very long bus journey, and possibly a tube too, to get me to Paddington where I can get the high speed train. And then there's a 10-15 minute walk at the other end. I reckon it would take nearly 2 hours in all, but I've never actually tried it.
