Just giving this thread the Lazarus treatment as I have bought a Geoffrey Butler frame from ASM which he thinks was originally meant to take 27" wheels.
Do I go for the 27" hoops as a) then my brake will fit, b) the BB height will be as it was meant to be, and c) they may look cool?
Or do I fit 700's so that I can find tyres/rims etc at the drop of a chapeau, rather than hours of internet trawling?
27" tyres everywhere.
Michelin world tours/dynamics if your after something cheap.
Or if your after the best street tyre (in my opinion) grippy as fuck and puncture proof.
Then, conti gatorskins @ £18

Weinmann do a LP18 rim, which is a good cheap double wall rim.
