  • ok cool, sorry to hassle you... It's very nice, and out of my price range...

  • Looks like your going for out and out bling, and the bike is very nice, but the Brooks thing is a mystery to me. heavy and costly and not at all nice to sit on.

  • Yes thats right - its my LBS. You know it? You from SE London too? Not many fixed geared around our parts or am I missing them?

  • I got a brooks on my bareknuckle it works OK for the city but it gives me numbcock on distances I'd like to try a swift one of these days

  • Build it up like this one...:) (except the chain that is)

  • Found my san marco. Better?

  • Perfect I reckon! yellow type too! woohoo!

  • that's a beauty.

  • does look better now m8! good job

  • I'm based SE1 Elephant / Borough area. I always travel up to Camberwell to use Edwards though, I've been shopping there since I got my first bike 25 plus years ago! In the day they used to have a lot of star riders working there like Dave Hemmings and Clive Gosling. Those guys went on to be big in the industry and Clive's mum is owner / partner? of Edwards so I think there pretty well connected! Big thumps up from me...

Who do you deal with there? I like the kid George (red hair) he's part of Peckham BMX Club, but rides and is up on track bikes to.

I think theres lot of fixes everywhere at the moment. Seen quite a lot past through Edwards last week, and always see a few around E&C roundabout and feed routes (Kennington, Walworth, Old Kent Rd's)

  • As to what Buddha had to say about the build, I don't know as much as him about components either and respect his impressive knowledge.

I don't agree though for my personal I don't think it matters what year your parts are for as long as you create a bike thats right for your needs. You said you where gonna ride this bike right? (not stick it in a museum!)

Sorry all for being such a heathen: for me nice strong 2008 wheels, 2008 no pain saddle and if you pointing the bike toward the centre for your commute some flat or riser bars. If it feels right it can be wrong.

Styling secondary but why not: rims, seat post, bars, chain ring or cranks in black or carbon would look bad ass and show off the chrome details on the frame lovely - you knows it!

  • Ps. I don't think I've got the bottom line on this, just 2p from me in the friendly spirit of trading opinions..
