Just spoke to Duncan at Armourtex- very nice chap.
He will coat it white, then the orange is up to me.
He did point out that I would have to use a polyurethane paint which would require a mask etc- anyone know a friendly car sprayer? Thanks for all the help btw.

Call Penguin and tell them.
They might help in someway?Nice idea but will definitely look like they've done their own bike!!!
Like the mugs, deck chairs etc....I'd go for Orwell's 1984 ;-)
Could anyone on here sharpen this image up and turn it into a decal/transfer?

@flic - make sure its an eps. that's what they'll need to make the decal.

you could have a 'play' with the logo

I thought Penguin might be thrilled and want to support the cause?
If they moan about copyright tell them where to go.
They won't find you... -

http://www.penguingroup.com.au/about/penguinlogo.cfm
I used a colour converter for both RGB and CMYK colour breakdown to RAL
RGB = R255, G105, B00 = RAL 2011
CMYK (C0 M60 Y80 K0) = RAL 2003... basically same colour but gives a different RAL!
Hope it helps

Well, we need a sprayer/spraying equipment, then we are good to go.
Anyone that wants to pitch in is very welcome! Thanks to everyone who has come up with suggestions/help so far.
Oh- and me Julie no longer likes the idea of "Death of a Salesman" as it could be too ironic, so I hereby launch a contest for the name- suggestions please!

I remain in favour of George Orwell. What's your favourite Penguin Classic?
Have you got the book with classic covers?

Just so you know a few points:
1: Cream isn't a colour of penguin, it just occurs after many years, but if you want this look then go for it
2:I'm not sure if death of a salesman was ever a classic see pic belowhttp://farm4.static.flickr.com/3246/2722985054_9be3c73abb_o.jpg

im going to paint my bike this same color, but im going with black/orange combination. would look great with cream though
-
• #47
black and orange is a tad overdone, choose something else
-
• #48
Reckon it would look good more like dogs' holdsworth but with bigger cream sections on the seattube and another on the downtube. One for the writer and another for the title perhaps.
-
• #49
Thinking maybe title on the top tube author on the down tube, with the headtube solid orange and penguin logo.
Flickwg- thanks for the work, I think number three is on the money.
It's going to have a chrome fork btw, and narrow section rims, nitto drops.

This is awesome- down the seat tube maybe?
I don't want to have "clutter", but this is great.
Don't call Penguin. It would open up a whole can of legal/copyright worms, in exchange for what? help identifying a colour?
