What happened to this? was the bike retrieved? Hope so, that antonio bloke is a might dodge, looked up his mob number on Google and he was selling a Trek or something but his name was Bobby instead.

Antonio/Bobby or whatever his Alias today has switched off his phone or negotiating the price of an new payg sim card........also his Gumtree posting has vanished.
Maybe he has shut shop for the summer and sitting on his Yacht watching the adoring crowds walk by in St Tropez or he could be in hospital............
My mate spoke to him on Thursday night and promised a social visit at some point over the next few days. -

HOW TO CALL THE POLICE
George Phillips of Marsh Green, Wigan was going up to bed when his wife told him that he'd left the light on in the garden shed, which she could see from the bedroom window.
George opened the back door to go turn off the light but saw that there were people in the shed stealing things.
He phoned the police, who asked 'Is someone in your house?' and he said 'no'. Then they said that all patrols were busy, and that he should simply lock his door and an officer would be along when available. George said, 'Okay,' hung up, counted to 30, and phoned the police again.
'Hello, I just called you a few seconds ago because there were people stealing things from my shed. Well, you don't have to worry about them now because I've just shot them.' Then he put the phone down.
Within five minutes three police cars, an Armed Response Unit, and an ambulance showed up at the Phillips' residence and caught the burglars red-handed.
One of the Policemen said to George: 'I thought you said that you'd shot them!'
George said, 'I thought you said there was nobody available!' -

Few years back some arse smashed into my car while it was parked outside my flat, while I was at work
Went to report it down at Brixton nick, sat waiting for over an hour to be told 'Sorry sir, we haven't got the correct forms here, try Streatham station'
I go up to Streatham station, half an hour wait later, the WPC on reception calls me over, I explain the situation, her EXACT reply was 'Sorry, there's not a lot we can do about it, they always get away with it!'
I shake my head in disbelief and she says I could TRY filling out a form, I asked if there was much point, she said 'it's up to you'
I told her there was CCTV pointing down my road, 30yrds away pointing towards my car **'It's not our responsibility, you'll have to call the council' **
I called the council, told them. I had to PAY, yes PAY the council £50 to check the CCTV after giving them the exact date
2 weeks later I get a call 'Sorry, the cameras weren't looking down your road that day'!!(I later find out this is bollocks as I know a fella on my street is on the local housing committee - he said they do)
So there you go....
Cost £1,600 to fix, I had to pay half and I lose all my no claimsCoppers, good for fuck all!

Harris,
Violence is sometimes the answer. If you broke this Antonio's legs, he wouldn't be steeling bikes for much longer.

I've said it before and I will say it again.
Human shit on the handle bars and saddle = safe bike.
Hah! I used to operate a similar system to stop people from borrowing the towel that I left in the shower room at uni. I just left a note next to it inviting them to help themselves, but warning them that I had herpes.
Incidentally, a friend of mine found her stolen bike on Gumtree (didn't realize this was such a frequent occurrence!), agreed to meet the seller, happened to run into a gang of Transport Police on the way over, and inadvertently became the bait in a massive police sting. So sometimes they are worth the paper they're printed on...

I really wouldn't be happy seeing Antonio or whatever his name is today in a wheelchair.........I agree total violence is the answer......forget wheelchairs maybe a bespoke coffin with Condor logos for Antonio on the side;maybe one of his mates might nick it thinking it was a fixie.God bless Antonio; I still have his address if anybody wants a revenge attack.

has anybody else clocked how on half of the ss fg adverts on gumtree there are photos of three bikes but only one description. I'd be well into starting a bike retrival service who's up for it?

Harris
Spoke to some geezer who knew nothin technical about the bike;admitted it was a grey/ green colour;couldn't tell me how long he had it etc,. immaculate condition(my fucking bike)called police they couldn't give a shit.
Through lack of heavy weight friends and location of seller I bottled out(council block in Old St.)
My life experience of this why am paying fucking taxes for police who are not attacking crime at gound roots level(I don't consider my £800 Pista groound roots by the way).
Letter going to my local mp and I just resigned my job to become an untouchable bike thief;I look forward to dealing with you.Orders welcome and I'll give cash discount but not if you are a fucking police officer.
Thanks for all the support and feedback you gave me in this thread;you are a cool bunch of guys;hope some learning experience has been gained at my expense.
My 2 week single speed experience was a pleasure I hope to be there again.
Rgds Harris.ARRRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why would you bother to mention this? By not doing anything you become part of the problem. Do you know how many folk on here have had their beloved bikes stolen with out any trace as to where to find 'em? You have a glorious opportunity to get whats yours and you wont even let us dish out some good old fashion justice. All we're after is a bit of the old surprise visit- good for laughs and lashings of ultra violence. You don't have to do anything. I could have even worn my crime fighting cape (well its just a grimey towel with EQUALIZER written on post it notes stapled on). HTFU

I'd be useless in the muscles-and-threats department, but if you need somebody to help lull the thieves into a false sense of security, give me a shout.

IIRC those are Unipack bikes - totally legitimate as far as I know, but you really don't want to go there...
i just remember when i d had my third mountain bike nicked when was 14, or my ipod nicked two years ago... or bloody anything that's ever been stolen from me and at the time i'd give ANYTHING to know who nicked it. and now you know and you're not doing anything about it (granted you asked the police)...
organise to have a look at the bike, take a couple of mates. and if it's your bike, just say "this is my bike and i'm taking it back".
if you feel the situation is getting bad then just leave, but i ve read posts on here that are the same story and all ended with the guys leaving with their bikes.
i think you ll regret it if you don't even go and have a look.
but whatever, each to their own
