genuine question/notion: does grappling with a deeper rim's idiosyncracies in street conditions mean your shoulders and arms get a better workout? Or would it not be that noticeable?
The only thing that gives your arms a better workout is a taller gear, more time out of the saddle, and longer rides.
Deep sections are marginally more difficult to spin up, but the effort accelerating on shallow section rims would be the same, cos you'd be using a slightly bigger gear and accelerating faster anyway.
