BTW, you can build a wheel with mismatched spoke holes on rim and hub by missing some holes out. I'm sure i've seen that on http://www.sheldonbrown.com somewhere, just miss out 2 opposing spoke holes on a 36h hub when building it to a 32h rim. It'll be a gamble with your spoke lengths as technically they should all be different lengths, but with a small flange hub it may be possible.
