  • Well, I say slayer, but that was to lure you into my den.. and for dramatics.... anyway, I built this for the girlfriend but i- its too big and ii- she doesn't want to get involved whilst bearing babybobob.

Offers please, not looking to make money, just to break even... will come with inflated tyres if you pay enough... if not, they come flat, with glass and nails hammered in, so I sugest offering loudsa wonga!

Is in Camberwell/peckham/east dulwich borders, or, i can ride it to work, which is central.

PUCH Super Cavalier frame - 58cm (I think)

Shimano 600 crank - forgot how many teeth, i think 46

Alesa (?) rims with SACHS fixed fixed rear with 17 and 18t sprocks, front is QR Shimano Exage (I think.. again) with my old track tyres, prob won't last forever but will get you around for a while

    80's mudguard

Standard SR bars and Stem - new bar tape.

Campagnolo pedals, bearings a little loose but they turn :)

    pics -

Just let me know if interested

  • you must have OCD or something, looks like you put a lot of care to get it perfect.

I think thats just the kind of bike that does well on ebay. A very sharp tidy bike, but no particularly expensive bits.

Stick it on there, im sure youll make a profit.

  • i think a black saddle would look really nice on it..(cough cough)... i could swap you mine if you like ;)

  • fifty pence for the cat.

  • Snowy want to break it down?
i'll give you 25p for just the tail. i want it on a poll on the back of the bike. easy rider style

  • cats are evil.

  • Nah cats are great, and those Bengal ones that tobes has are even betterer.

Greasy, I got first dibs on the cat, but if you find a second, we could breed them and corner the market in HHSCs. Then again, cats and obedience aren't really bed fellows.

  • Nice, Nice.

A bit of a rookie but tired of riding freewheel. Looks like a good op to get converted to fixed.
What price are are you thinking with inflated wheels that is?

  • Inflated wheels you say... gonna cost you a load more then my son, you got the air, the energy used to inflate it and then the extra weight issues once it's pumped up......

Haven't a clue what its worth... snowy, whatcha reckon?

  • Me? No idea, I always undersell bikes. Value is such a personal thing, but I don't suppose you want a discourse of cultural relativism. Its got white brake blocks, they always up the price!

  • So we are talking about a better deal uninflated.
    Oh well.
i see myself as quite a strapping young lad with loads of energy. Inflating tyres is a bit of my fortée as i believe the french would say.

Give me a ball park? Say £120 or is that a downright slap in the face. No harm ment with it..

  • CW... you've been pipped to the post by about 10 minutes... Sold to a chap for £110 by Western Union Transfer, the cheek of it, I had to send him £500 first, no matter, I have his £110 now Ha!

CW, if this deal falls through I'll let you know ok>? Thanks for all the interest.

Last time I bloody buils a bike for the missus...jeesh

  • Me? No idea, I always undersell bikes. !

    snowy.....undersell bikes.....never!
You ripped me off a treat for Bluey.....i mean come on... £30.......i could have got a whole puncture repair kit from Cycle Surgery for that much!

  • You got a bloody free spare inner tube too! Tsk, young people today...

  • huh. I guess that's my usual luck. Always last minute and almost always too late.

oh well. let me know if the deal is off i'm back on the cards again!

  • BTW. Watch out for those Western Union Transters. Many a mate have been ripped of by that....

I would check that you still have your 500 squids asap.

    Just watching your back!!

  • Ahh bless..... sorry dude

EDIT: Ay, Western Union transfers are dodgy???? When did that happen???? :P

  • Tsk, young people today...

The fucking cheek of it huh.....disgrace, i tell you disgrace!

(on a serious note, the she-woman is loving ol' blue eyes!)

  • been dodgy for a while had a friend who got scammeed of 1500 squids when some "old lady in germany" wanted to check if he had money for an apartment deposit. 'nother friend got ripped by some bloke when buying a car by western union transfer again.

  • Cool, it needed a good home, I just felt bad that it was living outside when the other two bikes got pride of place in the house. I'm going to get all nostalgic over it now, and how it used to valiantly get me over to West Drinks in the wind and the rain and the one brake.

Have you managed to remove the seat post yet, or does it not need it?

  • not yet, i'm gonna get the vice out on it and take it to the cleaners, or do what HillBilly said and "douse the fucker in caustic soda". she hasn't really been riding it proper yet, as her feet just about scrape the floor, but once we get that post sorted, she's gonna be cruising like a pro! (i might evan blag her to ride down to Brighton with me???)

  • Or diesel if you've got a bit of time. It'll seep through everything eventually, just bung some through the bottom bracket and leave it upside down for a week, then hit it with the vice. Right, I'm off to meet fiddy.

  • bonjour.

  • You sold it for a £110!?! That bike is beautiful. If It falls through and CW doesn't want it let me know and i'll gladly take it off your hands.

  • BoBoB that is so cheap I want a pm-athon with you just to find out how you built it even cheaper than that.

And the white brake blocks..... jeez........
