  • Wasn't as many vehicle enthusiasts this time seemed to be a shitload more nazi reinactors and gun nuts.

  • Freewheel, brakeless tall bike!

  • Where are those planters?

I've pursuaded my gf to let me get one of those for the front of the new house.

  • spotted skullhead in edwardes in camberwell.

they were moody - Edwardes, not skully - just got a job lot of taiwanese shit in.

lovely butler. i built the allin up - it's in the current projects thread...

Yeah and they asked picco for £25 for the same stem that BC asked £15 for not an hour later.

Nice to see you pj. Hope the packing is going well.

    Ma[3]k on Berwick St.

  • they're from www.frontyardcompany.co.uk not the cheapest in the world and Brixton Cylces get complaints that people use them as pissoirs and then dump stuff in 'em. Not suggesting that that is what you'd do outside your own home!

The website has the best example of NoBrakes I've seen for a while, cos whilst there are actually brake levers, there's no cables, or actual brakes.

The brake levers - no cables - no brakes look is going to be so hot next season. Pajamas, if you're reading this i'm christening it "Reverse Deconstructionalism".

  • They probably just flap in the wind when you're at speed, like a pair of one winged sparrows, adding that extra touch of velocity.

Even if I do ditch the brakes, I'll still keep the levers. Mainly because my preferred riding position is on the hoods.

Can't you get dummy hoods for this sort of thing?

  • You: Shiny red step-through Rouke, black hair, big sunglasses.
Me: Skidded in beside you at the intersection of Embankment and Northumberland Ave riding a MTB wearing green cords.

I clocked the fgss spoke card in your rear wheel too late in the launch procedure to abort and say hi.

    But now I can... Hi!

  • Dulwichrider at Herne Hill last night. Good to meet you. Will get my race license soon and take part in that crazy madison thing!

    Claus, also at Herne Hill.

  • Saw Jason outside Jaguar Shoes on my way to polo last night.
    Don't know your forum name!

  • Chris Crash in a rather fetching white towelling robe... Se-xy! ;p

  • i had just gotten in the shower when you came round.

  • I bet you say that to all the boyz...

  • Can't you get dummy hoods for this sort of thing?

I could, but the free ones off the gf's old cross bike were free and I like them. Besides I'm a pitiful fixed newb and need brakes at the moment.

I would say this is me - since I have a shiny red bike with a spokecard, black hair and big shades (jeans, white vest) and was at that place this morning...but I don't have a step through Rouke. So it's probably not me, but I didn't see anyone else resembling this description apart from me. About 8.55am? Ah, existential crisis!

    Was it this bike?

    If so, hello!

  • spotted shootthebreeze late for east drinks on old street

    Nah !
everyone else was just early dude

I know the dude that makes those if you want his details PM me.

He was riding that in the skatepark the other day, Billy is a legend... :)

Tee hee, that'd be a fail on my bike spotting skills. Yep, that's the baby - identity crisis averted.

Ah, whew, I'm me again. You go that way every day?

The funniest thing about that is that Duncan the owner of the company uses that bike for all the trade shows and its a really nice vintage steel frame. Duncan, bless him doesn't share my love of vintage steel so was blissfully unaware that his scrap heap salvage was actually a find. The result is that at all the bike shows he gets more interest from people wanting to buy the bike than buy the planter...
I have to say that I love the product. He's done them all locally and while they are not cheap they are both practical and pretty. I'd like one for my front garden for guests bikes - but no one i know would ever lock their bike in my front garden, they bring them thru to the back enclosure for more safety.

I would encourage anyone who is thinking of getting one, to do so. Duncan was my downstrairs neighbour for a year or so, he's uber nice.. lives totally green and is one of the best people I have ever met.

Yup, but not riding anything a noteworthy as your bike.

That said, I had been pacing a motorcyclist since tower bridge who appreciated the de-badged litespeed I ride. (I pulled in between you and him).

ahh bike love all round :-) and sun was out and there was a tail wind. Heaven really
