Robin doesn't do chrome (too environmentally destructive) and Argos don't do a clear powder-coat because it doesn't hold up well to regular use. Painting it silver just seemed like a silly idea.
It's exactly the same length - it just starts at a different point on the wheel, hence ends at a different point too. They're the extra long version, because I don't like getting wet feet...
