Haha, yeah, there's some overgrown shrubbery that we need to get rid of. I'm about to call Groundwork Southwark again to see if they can loan some stuff (a chipper and the like).
There's one corner of the garden you can't even get in to, as its all a bit Narnia. I should just point BRM at them with a mallet and scare the plants out of the ground.

Dependant on the date I may be able to grap some more hand tools from my fokes.
-
• #131
Of course - its open to all. At the last poll we have about 100 people interested in coming*, but that's going to vary a little depending on the weather / east polo etc.
Cheers to the people who've contacted me already, I'll get back in touch next week.

Good work Snowy.
I'm getting the bbq next weekend, and not to sound like an absolute animal but I've got a machete in my mums garage if things are way out of control down there. Let me know and I can bring that back also.
I'm down to help whenever I can

I'm just bringing the firepower, not the food. Don't think I could compete with the mandems chicken choice anyways!
-
• #139
I'm going to do two choices of jerk chicken:
Standard, reasonably hot and wholeheartedly wholesome :-)
Mummy, my teeth hurt :-(

Right, for those willing volunteers who've kindly offered and I've not responded to yet - thank you.
We're having some minor lease niggles, which has delayed things by a week or so, so I'll get the diary out next week and look at available days. It might mean a Monday drinks replacement / delay. Sorry.

Clefty, are they for removing jerked out teeth?

usukmeten - what, doller? What kind of username is that!!! Shinscar????
Good work. Depending on where it is I will try and help out. I've only got some pruners in London but will have a good go non the less. Sorry you can't use any of my saws for this one.
pedant alert.
I presume the issue is more with vegetation than scrap In which case you do not want a hacksaw this will be useless. You want loppers and / or a bushman / bow saw, you can prob get by with a hard point saw although the teeth will probably get a bit bunged up as the wood will be a bit green. Sorry about that.
For those that where at central drinks this week this is another example of my pedantry on screw != bolt , I know I have a problem.
