thanks to everyone who has responded so far, I appreciate it. I need probably 40-50 or more people so at the moment I am just making a list of people who are interested, when I am sure i will have enough i will start snapping. don't want to take up your time for a project that then never gets off the ground but it looks promising after only 2 days. you can do it wherever you want, wearing or not wearing what you want - one person has already asked to wear a bear suit. hopefully things more certain later in the week.
And Flickwg I did come along today, very interesting scene actually, but had to go before you arrived (if you did arrive) so hope to do it again next sunday?
anyone who wants to e-mail me can so i have an easy contact list. thanks again and ride safe, will. -

if you come down to broadway market I am up for it. There are quite a few people coming through on fixed gear bikes in the evening as well. About 1 every minute. If you want to stay on.

I can't work out how to message you (or even whether I can on this forum), but I'd be up for this. I have a nice bike, and it gets photographed far too rarely. Oh, and why don't you go and hang out in London Fields next Saturday evening. There are always bags of fixies on the Dun Run.

thanks everyone, this is going better than i expected. i am at home with a bad back today and will try to contact everyone asap when i stop saying Ow! every two minutes. thanks/
Hello, I am Will. I am a cycle courier (in London) but when i am not doing that I like to take photographs. Not another one you're probably thinking and who can blame you? Anyway I want to do a whole bunch of portraits of non-couriers who ride fixed. I am, sadly, old enough to remember when riding fixed was seen almost as some kind of perversion so it's nice to see so many other people going gearless. The pics would be nothing too fancy or time consuming, outdoors wherever and whenever would be best for you. 10-15 minutes would be enough. Just you and your bike wearing whatever you like and smiling/scowling/grimacing/yawning as you see fit.
For this project to work I need plenty of people so I hope many many of you will want to take part. Quite understand if you don't; I have said no to plenty of snappers wanting to photograph couriers over the years. But if you don't ask you don't get so if you are at all interested please get in touch. I am also leaving calling cards on bikes I see parked up so if you get one on your bike it's from me.
Thanks for listening. will
