  • hello all.

Ive been away from the forums and busy due to end of my final year of uni, leaving old job and finding another. My new build was actually finished for a few weeks now but time to post has been minimal.

Quick recap = I sold my pink dave marsh track frame due to its size (was too big) and found a far eastern delight which vacated the space beneath me, much more comfortably. I apolgise for crappy pic (iPhone). Waiting for a crack in the clouds before I take the page 3 glamour shots.

    Specs:

    Vivalo blue frame - 52 x 53 (rear 110mm)
    Tange headset
    Hatta R9400 BB
    Sugino 75's
Rx1 pedals with gold mks clips and double straps (upgrading to toshis soon)
Velocity rims on black novatec hubs (thank u dale)
    Nitto NJSP72 (thank u slamm)
San Marco saddle (have a blue suede kashimax but it doesn't agree with my backside)
    Nitto technomic 50mm stem
Pink kalloy risers with pink champ grips

I have yet to get some chain tugs that fit (mks or crappy £2 ones) so please, i am aware of slack chain...

She rides really really nice, nippy, quick and very smooth. The problem with my old frame was size but this sits perfect and will suffice indefinitely! More pics after the jump!

    UPDATED: new pics

  • your saddle looks realy big. what is it?

  • your saddle looks realy big. what is it?

Its a san marco - Very comfortable.im changing to a fizik saddle soon.

  • its very big and your seattube looks clean.

  • nice!

  • ... I apolgise for crappy pic (iPhone).

    Subtle.

  • Yeah, looks ace!

  • Subtle.

    ???

  • iphone?

  • iphone?

ohhhhhh, I see. I wasn't 'flossing', just explaining how I was able to take pic but not take a decent pic (besides, it was free - I wouldn't bloddy pay £269 for it!)

  • jodie, you can "floss" all you want to, as long as it's in private :)

  • lucky bastard

  • I know what you mean about Rolls vs. suede Kashimax,

kashimax look great on track bikes and old school race BMX's but if you actually try and 'SIT' on one your likely to feel like youve been dry bummed by a pack of apes.

Kashimax only good for "sprinty" type bikes where you dont fully weight yourself on the saddle for too long.

    Give me rolls anyday.

  • mate - there should be a thread just for the ways to describe a kashimax on your arse. Im gona turn to a fizik - ive tried it and feels comfortable and is really aero.

  • right i dont wanna be an arse but you put it onto a silver tray for me....does it matter at all if the saddle's "aerodinamic" if it's under your rump?

  • well, I find my legs move smoother and tighter and I feel I sit more compact. Answer your questions?

  • updated pics above

  • looks fucking lush!

I normally hate the look of deep rims on skinny steel track bikes, as well as multi-colour combo's

But my god, that gorgeous blue really brings the whole thing together. Definetely one of the nicest bikes I have seen.

  • your rims don't match.

  • cheers skeletonboy - I didnt want to have a such a leary bike so the black hubs & spokes try to tame it, with the exception of a few bits here and there for colour!

MJC, you should be proud of your visual skills - they are honed to perfection sir.

  • I like it! Only thing I'd personally change is the colour of the risers and grips. But then that's just my personal preference, so ignore me. Bike looks good, job well done!

  • looks proper BOW ! [thats a cool thing to say btw] high5 :D

  • love those straps on the pedals - what are they?

  • OMG ! No brakes ! Eeek ! get some brakes brother

  • edit: Your aware of it.... cant you just move your wheel back and tighten your nuts?
