shame to see soler out before the hilly bits - his climbing style was like watching a monkey trying to shag a beachball
Yep, know what you mean!!
1950's Soler?
-
• #253
Ha! That can't be Soler though - he stayed upright.

Good ride by Cadel today - the battle between him and Valverde is shaping up to be tasty!
-
• #258

cadel wise ride, less attention without yellow and can get some sleep tonight. eye on big picture. he's been doing a lot of mountain work and is showing!

A tasty stage tomorrow?
I recon Menchov can show his guns on this Tour with this type of stages.
-
• #260
Menchov. Highly touted year after year...no show year after year. Always rides better in Spain.
-
• #261
tomorrow most likely won't be that interesting for the big guys, because the big climb is too far from the finish, and it's only a 2nd cat, anyway.
unlike this fucking monster stage stage on Wednesday 22 July:
until then, the tour will be wide open, i reckon.

Oh dear, thats a very nasty finish.

anyhow, I don't care about the spoilers any more.
I won't be watching the "highlights" or rather the "Phil n' Paul Get Gay Show" because the cricket's on 5
maybe I'll swap during adverts..I fucking hate that toyota ad, but the knock-off nigel one is funny

I think its a travesty that Michael Rasmussen will not contest this years tour. It was clear he would win last year, not Contador. It was a fantastic battle between the two. The best for years, as long as I can remember.
He was left high and dry by Rabobank.
Ive seen more fat on a butchers pencil. I remember reading that he had the graphics on his bike painted on as it weighed less than decals?!

did anyone else enter the eurosport fantasy tdf? If so can I join your league?
I set mine up yesterday and had Av in my squad so was well chuffed when he won but it didn't come into effect till today so I don't get points for yesterday. Lame.

He broke the rules, got caught and got a two year ban. Why is that a travesty?

I wouldn't say Cav is arrogant, high in confidence and little close to the line. But those pistons stuck on the bottom of his body have to go all out to cash the cheques that gob writes, if thats what drives him on then then let him keep shouting. His team were great yesterday and if he works as hard for them on the later stages he will gain even more respect. but i can't see him in the top 20. if he does stay on
He's a sprinter ffs.. he's not SUPPOSED to be in the top 20!
Jeez you've got Aussies, who like nothing better than to kick English arse, complimenting a British sportsman and all the Brits slagging him off?! WTF is up with you lot?!

Rasmussen is a weedy, dirty, cheating little cnut.
-
• #270
that's a monster stage. but at least they get lunch at the bottom of the hill.

When I said that I meant he was treated unfairly by his team in light of the backing other teams had given riders who had been found to have doped. Rasmussen was unavailable for testing, dubious but harsh, imo. I think he was a victim of circumstance with the Vino thing blowing up at the same time.

Rasmussen lied about his whereabouts. He was in Mexico when he said he was in Italy. Have you ever been in a Mexican pharmacy?
Evans has had a mare and now it rains! but the breakaway are still in the dry...
