Mine took significantly less time than that to snap. I guess it's a fair point about lightweight saddles, still surprising that it breaks so quickly. It would seem that each pro rider that uses it can't even expect it to last something like the TDF in that case! It always felt weedy though, I just touched an Arione today and was very impressed with how much sturdier it felt than the Toupe.
