joys of being an engineer and draftsman and having a father who is a welder by trade (as well as a plumber, carpenter etc.) means i've got expereince of designing, jig building and brazing already which makes it a bit easier. next to think about which lugs and tubing.

I would suggest doing a lot of reading on the framebuilder forums/mailing list first and sussing out what exactly you'd like to build.
