Fair enough, mate.
It wasn't implying that new riders can't tell the difference between OTP bikes, it was implying that getting your first fixed wheel bike, or your first new bike after a layoff can be exciting and can blur judgment a little.
I will change my statement to: "**almost **everyone that buys their first fixed wheel as an off the peg says it it's the best bike they have ever ridden".
