  • Primark don't use child labour anymore (well, they claim not to). Read it in the Metro the other day.

I've never bought anything from there. Seems to me a bit of a false economy.

  • life is a false economy.

Well that rules them out then! Shame

  • I wear old carhartt and strap a small vietnamese child to my saddle to reduce the abrasion

RiK - yep it is moskito.

***Murt - don't know if i should be taking fashion tips from you man.... ***but i'll trust you on this one ;)

my mun cut his hair, so go figure...

  • Oh come on, pretty much all the major labels/fashion houses use dubious (i.e. child or poorly regulated - equals child) third-world labour. The only difference is that cheap shops like Primark don't put a massive markup on the goods afterwards. At least they're being honest about it!

That just a half-arsed attempt at saying it doesn't matter 'coz everyone's at it.
Some do but 'some don't'. It's up to the consumer to make the right decision.
...and Primark put a massive mark up on their £8 jeans.
They're not being honest about anything.

  • what a dude. Lovin' those trews. Unfortunately I'm not sure I'd look as good as that in them.

  • Volcom Rowley Collaborative Series jeans fucking rule. They have a stretchy seamless gusset in the knob zone. Mine are like 3/4 years old now, still good. Not sure about the new ones. Volcom has spiralled downwards in quality since there recent popularity boom

  • knob zone

  • I've heard Geordie Jeans are pretty good, especially as they are tight roond the arse

I thought Geordie Jeans disappeared years ago. Haven't seen anywhere selling them in Newcastle for years. If ever!

  • i find that carharrt are good because they are triple stiched, everything else just falls apart. plus if you need extra padding in your shorts/trousers surely you should just get a sddle that fits well, like a brooks.

  • Kevlar!

  • decent jean rather than cheap jobbies, Levi's being the first come to mind, affordable and strong, it get better with age rather than worse, like Uniqlo for instance.

it's moot really, just get a jean that's most comfortable for you.

    I bought some levis once,

they were "carpenter" jeans , so if anything I thought they would be *extra *hard wearing.

They were not pre-distressed at all, yet within a week they became so soft, and soon looked so worn and faded that they werent worth wearing.

It seemed to me like Levis were designed to age quickly, so I never got any again.

I would rate any other brand.

at the moment im liking black denim a lot, with gold or white stiching.

Good denim is thin, but hard wearing. You can find lots of affordable jeans with good
    fabric too.

I never spend more than £15, ever. And everything I get holds out niceley, and ages well too. Even certain primark ones.

  • alright that bizarre, since mine got softer and comfortable with age, mine's the 512 boot cut, how the 'carpenter' one is built? I mean like how thick it is, heavy etc.

  • Support child labour, buy Primark

  • Keeps the kids off the street.

  • I would get the Rapha Fixed shorts that are on sale in Condor for £186

  • Roberto you're so BLING €$£
