My S-Works, for example has the saddle ever so slightly twisted left.
That's cos the frame's pissed. There was a recall on a batch of Tarmac frames - didn't you see it?

Probably explains how he got it for a knocked down price....
Great video PeterD. Lovely looking roads. Very jealous. Still, I managed 47.3mph downhill this morning on the bike, I bet no one did that ;0)

If it's too high you should notice your hips rocking. With a saddle to high you are forced to stretch the foot down and rock arse side to side to get the damn pedals around. This = bad.
What's the saddle tilt like? Is it dead flat, down or up at the front?
Also, is the saddle nose aligned dead straight with the top tube? Generally, most people are more comfortable with the saddle pointed a smidge to one side or the other. My S-Works, for example has the saddle ever so slightly twisted left.yep, been experimenting with tilt for a while...brooks need to be tilted up, or you slide forward. been moving it back, forward on the rails, trying to sort it out.
i do feel that i have done the required amount of experimenting, but to no avail. hence my feeling the need to try another saddle.

maybe you have wide sit-bones. like me.
try a b17. they are cheap enough, and always re-sellable.

Gears also this morning. I'm a fanny on fixed going downhill. Ask Brett. Wore down almost half a set of brake pads doing 45-odd miles down to Brighton last weekend. As for the weight we're probably closer than you'd think :0p

Great, I can remember the place names but I never know where I am or where I'm going. Real fucking useful.

I seem to remember my 63kg descending faster than you on the way to Brighton, and you had gear inches to spare :p

Just got home from the L2B ride today and am a bit knackered, kinda feel like the dinosore "Megasorearse" unlike others I don't normally do 220km in one weekend.
Big ups Jonny for the Spires route and flatness of the ride ;) total pancake man.!!! nice to meet forum folk who I have not yet met, and to see ones I have again. Felt good hooking along at speed with Mertle and was spesh to be in a mini peleton sucking Lebowski's wheel next to Hippy just to see the full carbon geared one get bored with our fast pace, do the road runner'esk beep beep, and cruise off into the distance. Mr Slag Hope you heal soon budy. weather was great Bishops tipple was great, train bitch was not so great but all in all I had a great time.
thanks to all. -

Fuckin hell, 2 post and I still haven't said what a legend murtle was up front pulling us along! What is it with this train bitch? Tell us more...What am I doing and me had a woman tell us there was no room on the train for my bike and then when I ignored her told me that I'd hit her leg - the boyfriend whispered 'I'm sorry' as she was clearly pissed. Mini..Cooper what a couple of days! Nice to meet you all.

Yeah but you have revolutions to spare. If my legs got any more frantic I'd be the next 50x14. We both set off the speed camera :)

We had 6 bikes on our train didn't we? We didn't get any shit.
'Course we had the bulk of dogs and bmmf to save wayne and myself from any potential conflict.. -
• #522
haha... that bitch on the train.... I wonder what would happen if I weren't there.... i think you would have swore back at her and have a fight with the boyfriend... and got kick off the train...
nimhbus... have you try getting your sit bone measured? Spesh sell different size saddles...

I have a B17 narrow and it is pretty nice.
I got a special ed. B17 for my soon to arrive steamroller, and am worried it's a little wide.

great ride peeps. suprisingly tough. i've been on the road bike a bit lately 70-100miles and definitely x2 harder.
i'm a very very lucky man, to survive my crash with only a couple bruises and scratches. basically avoided running over greasyslag's head after he dropped it on the corner and into the gravel, but meant doing a superman into the tree's . good spin the last 15 miles, yes, i'll admit i was pushing the pace, but will admit i was hurting as much as the next person.
i won't mention i also beat bmmf up the big hill ;)
-
• #525
I wasn't hurting at all those last 15 miles - I was feathering the front brake the whole way :p
And I wasn't racing up that hill, but fair play to the convicts. As mentioned by Big Daddy Wayne, it would be great if they'd be part of the Rollapaluza team at the next Catford Hillclimb, and put in the fast times, while I just make up the numbers.
"focus" puller.
