when buying shorts try to find a picture of the pad some are very rudimentary, just a bit of foam. i think you get what you pay for.
having forked out for a pair of assos i will not be buying cheap shorts again. just ordered some adidas adistar bibs as they were recommended to me along with the cannondale carbon bibs.
