as a slight expansion on the HTFU theme if it's been a while since you've done that distance then i think you would have had some discomfort whatever saddle you were using.

+1 it's too easy to blame the gear, Nimmo. if you get another saddle and do 5 hour rides it'll still hurt until you do more riding, it's as simple as that. I know you've not these distances before, or this kind of time in the saddle.
