I might do this but on gears. I don't want to be riding fixed a couple of weeks before L2P. Any objections? It will also depend on how I feel Sat.

I don't mind, but why the reluctance to ride fixed. If you geared appropriately, and remembered that it's a recovery/conditioning ride, you'd be fine wouldn't you? Might even be good psychologically to get some non-thrashing-yourself/social time in the saddle...
