I think a good German Rye bread is tough to beat.
Don't bother with butter, if your components are high quality, this is usually unnecessary IMHO.
Look at the knives and workspace that is being used to assemble your lunch - ask yourself "is this how I would do it?" if you don't know how you would do it then I think you need to keep searching.
