Wood is scary.

ah ok missed the post,
I think the frame is a strandard steel track frame mounded with balsa wood.
I wish i could find pics of it set up as a TT bike i still have them somewhere maybe. -

Too pricey for me. -

$149 + 65 p+p = $215 = £105 for an alu frame. hmmm.
same seller has an full aero frame for $399 (£203) if you want full slavery
-
• #4188
- customs and tax
- fork
will add up, you can get the unbranded dolans for about the same
- customs and tax
-
• #4189
also do a $89 fork (admittedly alu) but still that is some slavery for not much dinero.
-
• #4190
they can come out looking okish
-
• #4191
^ could use a little more seat post though
-
• #4192
if you throw £600+ of stuff on any frame it may make a difference. still the worlds worst welding and the rear brake bridge obmination...
also, slack chain ;)

Hmm . . all the Leader messenger frames i have seen have a slightly backwards sloping top tube, unless you run a 650 front . . . They are dirt cheap and tough but i would rather go for an OTP Fuji Track Pro

I'm quite tempted to get one as an interim bike, depending on a few things.
its about the right price.... -

Henry, if I remember correctly, that guy is a dodgy as fuck seller.
Someone went to view one of his frames, and found it had a huge fuck off crack on the seat tube, from the seatstay bolt downwards. All of the questions in his ebay ad were "does the frame have a crack?" He kept saying no, the miserable, snivelling, lying man.
This frame is probably fine, but I wouldn't buy from him on principle. Also price is steep no?
-
• #4199
yeah. and he doesn't inspect threads or check rear triangle alignment. seen a few frames from him with messed up bb threads...

ok, not fixed, but you could really piss the guy off and convert it:
great photos, silly money.
I know it's not ebay, but planet X are doing their deep section carbon wheelsets (82mm front & 101mm rear or 50mm front&back) for £399, which is silly cheap for what they are. Shimano freehub I think
