my real question was, should i bring my drops, the other comments were sarcastic aimed at the anarchic cyclists amongst us i never skid any of my bikes ( well my bmx a bit but thats for getting round corners quicker )

Drops are a must if you wanna ride your own bike, they must have either bar tape/plugs or track grips, no brake and fixed wheel, natch... Info's buried on the thread somewhere...
BTW IMHO Skid stopping is one of the most fun things in the world (that you can do on a bike)...
