  • It will be PayPal... I'm not 100% positive on how to implement it yet... I'll code it tomorrow.

Most likely is that it will be a single page on this site, that knows who you are and can show you what you ordered. It will then give you a single click button to go through to PayPal and pay.

You will need to make sure the delivery address is right in PayPal before you order... or have included the delivery address in the comments bit when you order.

    Awesome. Can't wait!

  • Hi VB,
Don't want to be a pain in the asre, but a 41cm pit to pit small has me a little worried - as all of my small (cotton) shirts are in the 46-47cm range - a Small rollerpalooza being 47cm - which is just about right.

If the final Smalls are in this region (45 - 47cm p-t-p) i'm ok, but if you're going down to 41cm p-t-p i'll need to change my order to mediums.

I've not changed anything yet - but if you could clarify the final p-t-p sizes (of smalls and mediums) i'd really appreciate it.
    cheers, ds

  • I'll let you know the actual size as soon as I know.

  • OK, The small will be a Gildan 100% Black Cotton Small for a 34"-36" chest.

If anyone wants to adjust their order, do so within the next 24 hours by replying to this (don't edit your earlier order as I won't be re-calculating the whole thread again... just differences).

  • oh crap, i'm on the edge of both. Either get it really baggy or super lycra tight.
I guess it's lose weight time....

  • uuhhh 34"-36" is really small ain't it? and cotton will shrink a bit too. i just measured 4 of my small tees, all fell between 40" and 43". am i measuring wrong? measure bottom of pit to pit with shirt flat on floor?

  • just pulled out a gildan "activewear - ultra cotton, heavy weight" size small. measures 44" pit to pit (using method described above)...

  • that is the right way to measure, well done.

  • well, you know, university eddicashun and all...

  • wisdom and knowledge school of life

  • you guys mean cm right?

and just a warning, the gap fitted shirt (small) i just checked on is at least 45 cm ptp, and that is toight....

  • I would hope its cm! Or else I worked harder than I thought on the Cambridge ride.

  • which t shirt companies sizing chart is that?

  • huh, university fails me i guess, yeah i meant cm's. so does that mean that vb's measurements are maybe all the way around the chest (and back), giving a 42-46 cm across just the front OR back?

  • Sorry, edited the post after to say that it was something VB attached to a post (one page ago). It's the bamboo shirts. He said take it with a grain of salt though (which is good advice as it sounds like the XL doesn't match the chart - so he's gone with cotton I think?). Posted it just to give an idea of T-shirt measurement and size generally.

It's not the actual small measurement 'cause it's not going to be in bamboo. I'm taking that picture down.

yeah i know, but vb posted other measurements... just trying to figure out what it means exactly.

  • I'm not sure either... but apparently that Gildan Small is the closest thing they have to an American Apparel small which is the yardstick for a great size small. And chest size != pit to pit size. All I know is that the printers are convinced that this small is a real small as in it's not too large like the bamboo shirt was.

I don't have a sample of this as that would delay everything another week and as we've got the M, L and XL sorted I'm willing to go with the printers that the S is a neat fit in that sizing range and is definitely not an XS or M.

  • This is all getting a bit confusing. All I know is that my favourite t-shirt is about 19" across the pits, so about 48cm and I'd like mine that size please...

  • It's not that confusing, don't make it so. I've been attempting to make sure that the shirts fit everyone, and if the small is too small for you, come along to a westie drinks and I'll swap it for a medium.

I'm not really listening to things like "I'd like mine this size", as I'm really not producing 169 differently sized t-shirts. I'm making 4 sizes, and those sizes have to fit vic at the smallest end all the way up to the 'gifted descenders' in the XL range. The S is smaller than the M, the M is smaller than the L, and so on. We know the M, L and XL fit expectations, and the printer is running with making the S smaller than what we did have because the bamboo had little difference between the S and M. What's all so confusing about that? I could've not asked, not consulted, not tried the shirts on people, and given everyone the wrong size. But really, 4 sizes... pick one and stay with it. If you think the small will be too small for you... tell me now, this morning... once the order is set in stone at noon today it will be a pain to change it (as you'd use 1 of the 2 spares I have in that size).

  • thanks for all the effort ur putting into this VB. Hope it all goes down without a hitch

  • I'm pretty sure that the small will be too small for me - I asked for one small Airfix, please can I change this to medium.

Many thanks for your efforts on this.

  • Sorry tom. I was being grumpy. I shouldn't reply too early in the morning.

And yeah rjs... I'll swap your small to a medium.

  • Righto - if the Gilden Small is the same Gilden Small as used for the Rollerpalooza shirts - i'll stick with my order as it is.

The Gilden S i've got is a close, but not uncomfortable fit.

For info I've just measured my chest (with a t-shirt on) and i'm just under 40" - so hope this helps clarify things for those who aren't sure.
