faking it is never wrong, ask any hooker!

there's also a lot of people not on fixed doing the 'holding the bars right by the stem' as a fixed style affectation -
get a white industries freewheel hub and everyone will now you're not riding fixed, they're noisy buggers!
nowt wrong with riding a singlespeed

i used to simulate fixed/brakeless by buckaroo-ing down the road then running into pedestrians

To balance things up, I ride fixed, but with front & rear brakes and an extreme lack of souplesse so that it looks as though I'm ss.

Don't tar me with your hipster brush!

I don't really coast much on my geared bikes, but I'm not trying to pull the wool over anyone's pawls.

Sometimes I simulate flaming on forums by writing heaps of vitriolic bile in the text field.
Then I erase and replace it with something banal.

I sometimes simulate being cool on my trackbike, but then i realize that i got my pants inside my socks, and that it looks rather silly... :)

i was simulating riding single speed on newly flipped fixed cog this morning...
nearly went into back of a bus face first... :(
I have a singlespeed with a flip flop hub and to be honest I prefer to ride it on the freewheel as I like being able to coast along
However when I find myself around fixed riders I sometimes continue pedalling when I don't need to as if to pretend that I am riding fixed
I guess it's down to some sort of feeling of shame... Is that wrong?
