• tynan... how do you attach your photo? How come mine is only an attachment?

In your album thingy choose a picture by clicking on the thumbnail - when the big picture loads drag it to the address bar to get the code.

Stick that code between image tags.

  • Whatever happened to this 'project' - I feel like someone has diddled me for £20 and bought themselves a bike ?

  • Bump

Has mr the boss got the bike yet? Do we have a date for the happening? Has an official photographer been hire?

  • i smell a riot...

  • Well when I first read this thread I though it was a right riot, that's why I joined up.

    i'll go now.

I feel like you're ... im not even going to bother.

As far as i know Jos collected the bike last monday.

I was unaware I was supposed to arrange a photographer and cameraman to follow him for two weeks? It was not my project. I just happend to spot the bike for cheap. Paid for it then collected most of the money people said they would pay. Arranged for Jos to get the bike.

Didn't mean to sound rude ! wasn't being entirely serious - apologies nonetheless, I did sound sound a bit accusing, didn't mean to, appreciate you doing the bidding and bike buying.

If we have any money left over there some truly rotten DV camcorders at Maplins for something like 40 squid - gaffer tape a bike cam pointed at Jos (not ahead/the road) ????

  • Cool. Thanks for the update scrapper. And much appreciate you stepping in and sorting out the purchase.
Good that Jos has the bike, there has been no post on this thread from him since his initial suggestion, which we all jumped on, so didn't know if it had all fizzled out because he didn't actually mean it.

  • I asked for a go on that bike two Sundays ago.

Before committing a pedal stroke I gave the bike a simple once-over.

    Chain was slack as fuck.
    Brakes were mal-adjusted.

And here is the kicker.. I leaned down and undid one of the front wheel-nuts with my fingers.

Sorted all of the above and had a little spin around the polo court - it reeked.

  • There's one locked up at Broadgate Circle nr. Liverpool st station now.
Bankerwankers getting in on the act?

  • Yeah I saw someone on one at Shepherds Bush. Whatever, at least they're on a bike.

  • Fuck that. The roads out west are MINE!!! MINE!!! MINE!!!

  • oi, watch it pal, you and me baby!!

  • It's okay.. we patrol opposite sides..

  • So what's the verdict????

  • guilty as charged

  • As in it's a pile of crap or you're in trouble?

  • I'm in trouble!

  • I saw a unipack thing in the bike racks at my office today - who's is it?

Man no offense but it's a piece of shit up close! (sorry...)
In case you wanna kick my bike in for the nasty comments, it's the green and white viner. Or maybe you wanna chat bikes and let me help you when you upgrade?

    kam

  • the unipack is intrguing (if you meant those ready-made singlespeed bike for only £200), I don't care about the compound but is the frame any good? cause if it is good, I'd actually get it and slowly replace the part with better one, because I kinda need a bike to ride everyday after I got rid of my current fixie.

they look pretty heavy and shit.

From everything I have read, my advice to anything about this bike would be NO.
I came close to getting one, when I saw it on Craiglist, but I spoke to eyebrows about it, and heard the geometry was odd, then I read the forums, and realised it's a pile of wank

  • Did anyone do a review of the bike? Did it fall to bits, or has it been sold for charity?

  • don't do it ed. The frame is shit, the components are shit...it's SHIT!
£200 buys you a good frame, or £50 might buy you a decent enough frame to convert.

  • perfect that all I need to know, either I'll get Fixed Gear London to built me a bike, if they didn't replied to my e-mail (can't use phone, i'm profoundly deaf, couldn't understand a word people said via tv, video, phone etc. only face to face), I'll just pick up a reliable Charge Plug.
