Momentum
adoubletap
Pull up a map of East London gang territories, overlay a social deprivation map and the Chris Crash bike theft map and you won't be able to tell the difference.
Truth indeed - although it seems like Brixton (where I live) has a fair amount of deprivation but not as many people with nice bikes so it might only work for East London.
I dunno, I've seen some pretty sweet rides rollin' 'round/through Brixton... The Brixton bad boys are probably just too busy shootin' and knifin' the Peckham mob to worry about our bikes... ;)
And I hope the Vivalo turns up, that sucks bigtime... I just popped out to Tesco's in Brixton and double locked with two Kryptonites, not takin' any chances anymore... -

Not anymore, that one sits by my bedroom door with a baseball bat (for when Mr Burglar pops 'round)...
It's a pisser, if I lived in the US I'd get a free replacement... :/ -

I cant imagine where that bikes gonna end up. Im gonna be selling these locks that have an inbuilt alarm, they sirens fucking loud and goes off if the cable gets messed with. The cables pretty thick. Any thoughts?

good idea, you can get motorcycle D-locks with a similar alarm system. I think abus/kryptonite should bring out a bike-specific one.

i want a lock that sprays acid in the thief's face.
i really do.

i'd like to see him steal my bike WITH NO FUCKING FACE.
In fact, i'd let him STEAL my bike if that could really happen. then calmly pick it up afterwards.

Emma's bike was spotted on Bricklane at 5:30pm today (Saturday) 2 kids about 14-15 years of age 1 was riding Emma's bike and 1 of them was on a BMX both were wearing tracksuits. They rode down Bricklane then 5 min's later they rode back up... I was called too late too catch them. If they have the confidence to ride the bike in broad daylight I reckon It could be on the market tomorrow morning. I'm going to Paris for the week tomorrow morning, so I won't be around to have a look. If any one see's it tomorrow please grab the bike/call the police 0207 2753161 or Patrick @ Gloria's 0207 7706222 There is a decription of the bike in the window of Bodhi, 214 bricklane. There will be a reward if anyone gets this bike back.

Hey i think i spotted this bike on tuesday!
It was on Bruton Place, W1 (just of Berkeley Sq). It was being ridden by this pikey looking courier type. He had a small messenger bag hung low on his back, beige top. I think it had risers but i didn't see the colour. Also, there was no white deep V. My bike was locked up at the time, and I was gonna unlock it and follow him, but then down at the bottom of Bruton Pl. he pulled this massive skid - the kind where you throw your back wheel out, so I just left it.
Not sure about the rainbow sparkles, but it was definitely a black Vivalo.

was this bike ever found???
I was definitely not implying a big street brawl. As I, like as you say the majority of the people on this forum, am completely anti-violence. I was just thinking that the presence of so many bikes there on Saturday night If this is going to be the case - will no doubt attract a lot of the thieving little rats. It will be more of a demonstration to show that we won't be intimidated! Saying that though, you are probably right. There is very little that can be done. And I wouldn't want to leave my bike there to see what happens.
And I definitely do not want to be fighting anyone
